About Us

Together, we will make the difference.

We are a not-for-profit social enterprise with a social purpose and we are governed by our social objectives. Our goal is to provide the best therapeutic care to vulnerable children and young people enabling them to achieve their full potential and live in a safe and stable home where all their needs can be met.

As a not-for-profit social enterprise, our entire surplus income is reinvested into the services and support we provide for foster carers, children and young people. This ensures that we provide the highest standards of care throughout all our services and that we operate a mutually beneficial opportunity to those committed to making a positive difference in the lives and communities we serve.

We invest in you!

At Fostering Families we believe that all foster carers should be supported, trained and rewarded for the great work they do in helping change the life of children.

As an organisation we will invest in you and your professional development. We will train you and resource you in a therapeutic parenting model.

The directors and management team are very experienced and passionate about achieving better outcomes for children and their carers.

Our Commitment

We are committed to three areas that will enable us to make a difference, they are:

Embrace your journey…

Heroes of the community that step up and embrace the journey of making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people will be rewarded. We honor our carers and are committed to their well-being and development every step of their journey.

We do this by offering an excellent and comprehensive package of therapeutic training and support, whilst at the same time delivering encouraging rewards and incentives for potential foster carers to address barriers in becoming a foster carer, and all alongside a dedicated and professional package of support to children and young people that will address their immediate and long-term needs.

We are Not-For-Profit

As a not-for-profit social enterprise, our entire surplus income is reinvested into the services and support we provide for foster carers, children and young people. This ensures that we provide the highest standards of care throughout all our services and that we operate a mutually beneficial opportunity to those committed to making a positive difference in the lives and communities we serve.

We are Trauma-Informed

Therapeutic fostering is not about becoming a therapist, it is a way of parenting a child who missed out on healthy emotional development and milestones in their early years. Traumatised children need extra help and encouragement to develop the positive self-esteem and confidence they need to do well in education and life in general. We have many truly exceptional families who do this impressive work every day.
