Our Vision

Our Vision & Mission Statements

OUR CORE MISSION

To provide safe, high quality therapeutic parenting, delivered by fostering carers who are able to meet the needs of the children placed by the Local Authority’s within the East midlands and throughout the U.K.

OUR CORE VISION

To enable every child to achieve their full potential through the provision of a therapeutic family that nurtures and creates a safe place to be and grow.

OUR CORE VALUES

Child-Centered Parenting

Responsibility and Accountability

Challenge and Creativity

Equality and Diversity

Together we thrive.

Fostering Families have a vision that all children and young people will receive the most appropriate therapeutic care and equally, that all foster carers are therapeutically trained and equipped to support vulnerable children and young people to live a safe and stable life where they feel they belong and are valued for who they are.

We are innovative, creative and responsive; we listen, we empathise, we care and we believe that together we can make a difference in the world and that all children and their carers can receive a high standard of support and care, which will ultimately improve their quality of life and provide a environment and a network of positive meaningful relationships whereby they can achieve their full potential.

We are child-centred

Children and young people are at the centre of all our decisions made about their lives and are supported to enable them to determine their own goals within the context of a respectful and caring environment.

We are Trauma-Informed

Therapeutic fostering is not about becoming a therapist, it is a way of parenting a child who missed out on healthy emotional development and milestones in their early years. Traumatised children need extra help and encouragement to develop the positive self-esteem and confidence they need to do well in education and life in general. We have many truly exceptional families who do this impressive work every day.

We are Not-For-Profit

As a not-for-profit social enterprise, our entire surplus income is reinvested into the services and support we provide for foster carers, children and young people. This ensures that we provide the highest standards of care throughout all our services and that we operate a mutually beneficial opportunity to those committed to making a positive difference in the lives and communities we serve.

Together we will make the difference.

We are a local and regional family of everyday people committed to making a difference in the lives of children and their families. We are solution-focused and child-centred; and we are committed to delivering innovative approaches to addressing the national issue of children that are at risk of going and staying in the social care system.

We believe that together we can make a difference in the world and that all children and their carers can receive a high standard of support, training and care, that will ultimately improve their quality of life and provide a platform whereby they can achieve their full potential.
